Happy Earth Day, Walt Whitman

Arrow Park

For poet to a poet friend

On this beautiful sunny Sunday

When the leaves spread wild

When we the humans

Speak no longer to grief

And injustice and tears of war

To brother & sister

Over the green grass

At full moon as the waters

Flow in a lake of peace

To read the instructions

In harmony

Soon our song will flow in a

Drum sound to present

And future for all seasons

And remember my words

Will always remain

Let the earth rise for a mother world

And every poem is a tomorrow poem
